Poppies are a garden gem. They are also fantastic as cut flowers, cut them in the bud when the colour is just visible. You will see them unfold completely… Blue Moon is a selection with pure white flowers and in the center of each (of the 4) large petals a blue-purple brush stroke. The poppies stand on strong stems of 70-100 cm high and after flowering quite large, decorative seed heads arise.
Sowing methodSow: April-June in finely raked soil outdoors. Rake in slightly and press so that the seeds are not covered. Germination decreases at temperatures above 20̊C, during warm weather mix the seed with moist potting soil and place in the refrigerator for 1 week. Sow with soil and all, germination follows quickly! Height70-80cm |
