This relative of the balsam and the busy Lizzie deserves its own spot in the garden. They like a lot of moisture, which you can tell from the watery stems, and they can also do with a little less sun. The fast flowering and bright colours (white, pink, lilac and red) bring the gloomiest corner to life! The flowers are usually (semi)double, can grow up to 5 cm in diameter and look like Camellias. Although the plant sows easily (seeds shoot metres away), it is not a rampant plant. Height 40-50 cm.
This nice garden plant is wrongly called “busy Lizzie” by many (unfortunately ignorant) colleagues (although they grow and flower very diligently...) and is also described as such. That's what you get when you use seeds purely as a trading object.

Sowing method
Sowing: pre-sowing is allowed, from March in pots, but it is easier at the destination: May-June on a spot improved with potting soil. After sowing, cover with fleece.
