The common wild red poppy. Once surrounded by much superstition, still one of the most striking wild flowers. Work the ground before sowing them and annually take the cultivator through the field to keep them.
Sowing method
Sowing: April to June in the open ground, early sowing is preferable, they do not germinate at high night temperatures. Flowering period: July-September. Finely chop the soil, possibly mix the seeds with sand and rake in. Keep moist or cover with cloth until emergence.
